Anushka, (a.k.a Alina Anusca) is a 32-year-old Romanian artist, whose main passions are music and dancing. Born in Iasi, in a family of musicians, Anushka fell in love with music and dancing at a very tender age.

In time, she blossomed on a local level, taking canto lessons, joining dance classes, contests and even starting her own girl band. But her passion for music gave her the necessary boost to take things even more seriously, so when she was 17 she joined Dana Dorian’s company, Dorian’s Art, in Bucharest, to take her vocal technique to the next level.

After graduating from high school, Anushka got into Bucharest University to study Journalism and Communication. In parallel, Dana Dorian set up a backing vocal band called „Pinky”, where Anushka was a key member for almost 7 years. The band’s professionalism and skill quickly turned it into one of “the most wanted” in the field.

Anushka, as a child, dreamed to be at least in the audience of the Mamaia Festival, joining „Pinky” would bring her more collaborations and festival invitations than she ever expected.

"My job consisted of learning the received materials (i.e. sheet music, song lyrics, text, scripts, schedule rehearsals, dress code) very well and also being careful to the instructions. I have always been involved a hundred percent in the artistic act.

Also, I easily integrated with all the groups I worked with and I looked forward to achieving the best results. I assumed a lot of responsibilities (e.g. being punctual, always well-groomed, be well-rested, and able to learn quickly). I have implemented new ideas, working around difficult situations, and organizing and coordinating projects.

My desire throughout this period was to bring people joy through music, to bring them on my side as an artist, and maintain a relationship of mutual respect and appreciation."
