Best known for her lush velvety voice, Yaaba is a Ghanian jazz-soul singer-songwriter based in the United Arab Emirates who has traveled across continents to pursue her passion for music her multi-dimensional talents have allowed her to seamlessly cross over genres, perform for contrasting audiences as well as focus on birthing her own galvanized music.

She was thrown into a life of music when she was 9 years old as a result of her participation in a church choir, her adventurous spirit led her to explore her mother’s soul and gospel CD collection, which let her draw inspiration from singers such as Whitney Houston, Destiny’s Child, and Ron Kenoly.

Resonating across the global music scene, Yaaba strives to appeal to a universal crowd through her wide range of content which simultaneously unites ideas about life, love, and wisdom. Her first release was in 2012, entitled “Da Ben” when she was 19. Soon afterward, she continued her odyssey across the music world with personal stories told through the eyes of her tracks, international live performances, and outstanding unique covers.
