Considered to be one of the finest funk jazz pianists from East Africa, David Pragmo has performed on big stages with Oscar Seaton, Chuck Loeb, Eric Marienthal, Matt Cooper (Incognito- UK) Gerald Albright, and Regina Belle at the annual Jazz Safari Events in 🇺🇬 Uganda. He has opened for Jonathan Butler and Morris Pleasure (Earth, Wind, and Fire) as well. David approaches his musical style with utmost decadence and Pragmatism hence the name Pragmo. He has recorded 4 smooth jazz albums on Amazon, iTunes, and CDbaby under the Blackroots Unlimited label.

Although many have labeled him as a Pop Smooth Jazz artiste, Pragmo considers himself a whole musician as he habitually just gets into any kind of music that happens around him. He has the ability to just simply start playing along when he hears any music even if he does not know the music. He has been dubbed the “spontaneous composer” for his ability to do this.
