Biography
Hailing from Canada, Kebi specializes as an artist, DJ, producer, and vibe curator. Viewing his human experiences as a spiritual canvas of expression, Kebi introduces a unique tone of acceptance and love in all that he does both behind the decks and in his day to day life.
At a young age, Kebi homed in on his skills in New York City, attending the Dubspot Music Academy and collaborating on projects at Universal and Warner Brothers Studios. He went on to sharpen his skills as a widely respected DJ in Aspen, Colorado, where he curated a variety of events and held down weekly residencies at some of the most popular clubs in town, including performances at the famous Belly Up Theatre.
Embarking on his newest adventure, Kebi went on to set up his craft in Tulum, Mexico holding residencies at well-known venues Tekio Beach Club and Downtown Tulum Hotel, as well as hosting his own radio show on Downtown Tulum Radio. These moves not only contributed towards a deeper understanding of Latin rhythms, yet also planted the seed for Kebi's newly established imprint "Sunday Café Records", a full service good vibe provider intended to spread joy and connection.
Kebi’s unique feel-good vibe is a direct reflection of his inner world, which features a delicate alchemy of deep house roots, disco grooves, and vast meditative experiences. His inspirations are drawn from ethnic world beats, afro-latin rhythms, funky bass lines and an overall happy feel. His music can be described as “refreshing”, as he is always keeping his listeners guessing and feeling free in the moment. These musical expressions are a direct reflection of what Kebi believes to be tried and true in any style DJ set; a harmonious blend of culture, rhythm, and soul.
Enjoying a quiet, laidback, lifestyle with an intentional focus on growth and expansion, Kebi continues to establish his presence on an international level with recent releases signed to Sync.Records (GE), New Something (USA), and Tropical Disco (UK).
