Biography
Saxophonist, flutist, and clarinetist, Camron Andrews, received his Bachelor of Music degree from The University of The Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. He has worked in a range of musical settings in South Africa and abroad, in Jazz, Classical, and Pop music.
Camron recently returned from an international tour with the hit musical, Chicago The Musical. He also held the Reed 1 position for the production of Jersey Boys The Musical and Priscilla Queen of the Desert, which both toured cities in Asia and South Africa; he has worked in the pit on other productions like Sister Act The Musical and Rocky Horror.
Camron has worked as tour and orchestra manager; this saw him managing and performing with an orchestra that performed in the world’s best concert halls, namely, Berliner Philharmonie, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, and other venues. Camron won the South African Arts and Culture Trust’s ImpACT award for music in 2013. Camron freelances for Classic FM South Africa.
