Biography
Black Theama (بلاك تيما) is an Egyptian band that was founded in 2004. The band's musical genre covers a wide range of styles from Nubian rhythms, reggae, hip-hop, and R&B, to music with other African influences. Through their music, they sing to "celebrate the black experience in Egypt.
The band strives to maintain a sound true to the name they carry, which is unique, natural, and independent. Black Theama tries to create music that does not fall in line with the "standard pop-music cliches.

- SOUNDCHECK
- All equipment must be set up and ready to operate prior to sound-check.
- The backline must be set up and checked prior to sound-check.
- The band needs 90 minutes for sound-check.
- Only local staff should be allowed in the venue during sound-check.
- Please note that the equipment once set up should not be moved, promoters and organizers should take this
- into account when planning events with multiple acts.
- ELECTRICITY
- All gear carried by the band runs on 220 Volts, kindly provide three 220V circuits on stage
- And two in the dressing room with adequate current regulation & circuit breakers.

- The system must be a professional 3 way / 4 way systems capable of producing an even coverage with no
- phasing and without distortion at any point.
- Subs MUST be on a separate AUX send.
- Preferred systems: L'Acoustics, d&b, Meyer Sound (model & Rigging depends on Venue and
- geometry.
- FOH Requirements
- The desk must be on axis of the PA and must not be placed under a balcony or near a wall.
- A digital console is a must: Digico SD series, Yamaha CL series, MidasPro6/Pro2/M32
- Snake active splitter.
- A high quality tube channel strip / Compressor should be inserted on the master bus, Avalon, Summit,
- Millennia or similar quality
- Monitor Requirements
- The desk must be on stage.

- 11 Shure PSM1000/PSM900 in Ears Monitor system
- 11 bi-amped wedges containing 12”/2 or 15"/2" (L'Acoustics, d&b, Meyer Sound)
- 1 subwoofer for the drummer single 18"
- Side fills: powerful 3-way side-fills (40Hz-16kHz)
